Food Vouchers

To get a food parcel you need to get a food voucher first. Each local foodbank has its own unique connections that offer foodbanks such as doctors’ surgeries, social workers, health professionals and Citizen’s Advice. We can let you know where to ask.

What does a parcel have?

Each parcel contains a minimum of 3 days’ healthy and balanced, tinned and dried food donated by the local community. A typical food parcel contains food such as cereals, soup, pasta, rice, tinned tomatoes, lentils, beans, tinned meat.

Visiting a Food Bank

A food banks is a safe and warm environment. You will receive a kind listening ear and a food parcel if you have the appropriate referral. The volunteers will check your referral so that your food parcel meets your household’s needs.
